Build related
·Setup and maintain the build and file server infrastructure (HW, operating system) and ensure fast recovery (within one day) in case of HW failures. The build infrastructure might require different environments for each release (different platforms, different versions of VisualStudio …)
·Run regular builds for Creo Elements Direct Modeling on all active branches and immediate reaction in case of failure. This includes notifications and identification of the guilty changes in case of build failures
oSpecial builds (hot fixes): on explicit request
·Automatic generation of install packages (see also section “Installation related”). All installation packages have to be published on the central file server
·For major, minor and patch versions: Adapt software to new version numbers and splash screens, to new customization directories
·Ensure repeatability – patch versions and minor releases must run in the identical environment as the main version’s builds (virtualization). This includes backups for release builds including the build environments
·Keep documentation about the build process including used servers and scheduling updated.
·Track licensing situation of used tools
·Review process and propose improvement ideas
·Maintain the build tools and build environment
·Evaluate and integrate new MS VisualStudio versions
·Support for new Operating System versions (as far as build is affected)
Installation related ·Keep the currently automated generation of installation packages for Creo Elements Direct Modeling
·For major, minor and patch versions: Adapt installation scripts to new version numbers and to new installation directories
·Support of new MSI versions
·Support for new Operating System versions (as far as installation is affected)
·Ensure availability of all required components (tools, licenses, code signing certificates …)
·Provide maintenance of known defects (SPRs), adapt to upcoming requirements for new releases and implement enhancements on PM/PD request
·Provide documentation on the installation process and used tools
Skill sets required:
o Good practical programming skills (Mandatory)
o Microsoft Visual Studio (VS 2003 / 2005 / 2008 / 2010) (Mandatory)
o Background with SCM system administration (Mandatory)
