# We may consider promote Chief Officers holding Master Certificate to the
rank of Master on OSVs, provided he has minimum six month sailing experience as
Chief after obtaining Master certificate & sailing experience.
We may consider obtaining dispensation to sail as chief officer on our OSV vessel to second mate (FG) certificate holders having sailing as navigating officer for one year.
Officers applying for OSV vessels should in possession of police clearance certificate from hometown in order to obtain ONGC pass. He should have advance DP course but we may consider Basic DP course depending our manning requirement.

* MEDICAL OFFICERS : SCI requires Medical Officers for
Passenger Vessels & Research Vessels. MBBS Degree holders with possession of
Indian CDC shall be preferred. SCI will assist all desirous Medical Officers in

* *TRAINEE ELECTRICAL OFFICERS for OSV:
Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd recruits Trainee Electrical Officers to
sail on Board our Off Shore Vessels (OSV) on Direct Contract. Interviews of the
desirous & Eligible candidates will be held at 14:00 hrs on 26th July 2013
at Third Floor, SCI Head Office, Nariman Point, Mumbai-21. Candidates have to report before 12am on 26th
July 2013 at our Head Office - Mumbai, with original documents viz
Professional Certificate, STCW Course Certificate, Passport and CDC.
Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech Degree (with minimum 50% marks) or Diploma (with minimum 60% marks)- in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent and DG approved ETO Course Certificate.Preference will be given to candidates with sailing experience as well as PCC holders ( Police clearance certificate with photo on PCC and issued from the rank of Superintend of Police or above).

selection of cadets/crew to candidates seeking employment in SCI.
Public are informed that SCI engages cadets/
trainees directly through it own schemes and has not authorized any person to
engage cadets/trainees on its behalf. SCI recruits directly all crews(deck,
engine, saloon and GP rating) on its main fleet and not through any person. No
service charge whatsoever is payable for engagement/recruitment in
SCI.
Public are advised not to be misguided by such
mails, messages or communication through any means.
