Description: This person has to be academically sound and posses
strong programming fundamentals. Should have knowledge about Matlab or
equivalent tools. Should be willing to develop\maintain software and
algorithms. Should be able to adapt and learn fast. Should have enough
engineering background to gain a deep understanding of KLA-Tencor?s
domain and working of its tools.

1. Required: Strong academics - BE / B Tech / MTech / MCA / MS (CS/Electronics/Physics/ECE)
2. Required: Strong in programming fundamentals, C++
3. Required: Good analytical and problem solving abilities
4. Required: Matlab or equivalent tools
5. Required: Good communication skills
6. Required: Multi-tasking
7. Preferred: Knowledge and exposure to .Net and C#
8. Preferred: Knowledge and exposure to VC++/ COM

Responsibilities:

1. Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of inspector software
2. Develop and maintain software applications and also algorithms.
3. Work along with engineering, marketing and application groups to
innovate competitive software analysis solutions designed to address
specific customer needs
3. Do requirements analysis, architectural analysis, design, develop and unit testing
4. Acquire knowledge of key use cases in defect inspection using SWIFT tools
5. Follow KT defined software development processes
Performs any of the following:
Systems: Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and
debugging software for operating systems, compilers, routers, networks,
utilities, databases, etc.
Applications: Responsible for analyzing, designing, programming,
debugging and modification of local, network or internet-related
computer programs for commercial or end user applications such as
materials management, financial management, HRIS, or desktop
applications products.
Quality Assurance: Responsible for developing, applying and
maintaining quality standards for software products. Develops and
executes test plans and procedures; interfaces with software engineers
regarding results of tests.
Engr, Software 2: Works on problems of moderate scope where
analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable
factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to
determine appropriate action. Requires a BS degree or equivalent
experience.
