The Candidate should be a B.E/B.Tech(computer science/Electronics) graduate from any recognized university with a good knowledge of interfacing Windows and linux operating system.
Experience with SOAP, PHP, Python and Instrument Control software development is desirable.

The selected candidate will work for the HESP project and tenure of the trainee-ship will be initially for ONE year period and can be extendable up to 3 Years based on the performance.

The Institute is engaged in developing a high resolution Echelle spectrograph (HESP) as a phase-II instrument for HCT (Himalayan Chandra Telescope), in its field station, Indian Astronomical Observatory (IAO), Hanle. This project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, India. It is a collaborative effort between Industrial research limited, Wellington, New Zealand and IIA.
