Job Description:
Are
you passionate about software tools to improve engineering excellence?
Do you want to work on advancing the state of the art for search &
ads? Are you interested in cutting edge technology in the areas of
mobility, information retrieval or security? Or are you simply
passionate about new technology in general?
If your answer to any of
the questions above is Yes, then you would love to work in the Advanced
Development Group at Microsoft Research, India. In this group, we
infuse life into research ideas that shape the future. We work at the
frontiers of technology. Our prototypes challenge the digital divide
and our frameworks provide platforms for rapid application development
and verification. We anchor the tech-transfer processes in MSR India,
being the launch-pad for the next wave of software products. We also
drive our own incubation projects. Work spans a diverse spectrum of
areas: from program analysis to collaborative computing; from machine
learning solutions for search & ads to energy efficiency on mobile
phones and desktops.
We are looking for an entry level engineer with a
passion to improve the state of the art. This will be a 1 year
position that is extendable by 1 more year based on mutual interest.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong technical skills, including algorithms and hands-on coding
Effective communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
BS or MS in computer science or related technical field with a good GPA
Need to have freshly graduated from college - this position is only for new graduates
Ability to learn fast on the job
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Prior projects in one or more of Mobile app development, Information Retrieval or Software Engineering.
Experience working with database and/or web technologies.
