About the Role and Responsibilities
Job Title: Software QA Engineer
Location: Bangalore,Karnataka
Basic Function and Scope of the Position
- Write and execute test cases, test suites and test plans
- Define, drive and deliver on Quality through all stages of SDLC
- Ability to create, modify and review automation test scripts
- Provides technical input for test automation design, analysis, process improvement and troubleshooting
- Executes tests using manual & automated tools
- Utilize existing & innovative test technologies to develop product testing strategies

Good understanding of QA automation tools, processes and concepts
including defect life cycle, defect classification guidelines, Test
Script preparation, testing methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, ability to make and influence decisions, and drive open discussions to a closure
Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or similar field
- Expertise in testing concepts and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Test Driven Development)
- Coding or Automation skills in Java, Python or Perl
- Working knowledge in automation tool like QTP or Test Complete
- Working experience on Windows and Unix platforms
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in testing and delivering software
- Ability to review and improve/optimize test coverage/strategy on an ongoing basis
- Takes responsibility for one’s deliverables. Plans and organizes his/ her work around these deliverables
- Ability to pick up new technical skills and apply them immediately
- Candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills and must be a strong team player
- Candidate must have a good attitude towards work and must be self-motivated

| Job Description | About the Role and Responsibilities Location : Bangalore,IN About the Role: A Software Development Engineer in Test [SDET] at McAfee is a developer with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through test automation, code inspections, peer reviews, white-box testing and other forms of engineering excellence. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality andtechnology, while providing an immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the “building” aspect of software development with the “testing” part of quality assurance. As an SDET you can analyze business requirements and scenarios very well. Conduct white box testing, create test plans, test cases and build test frameworks to execute them. Primary Responsibilities : · Analyzing requirements, able to understand impact on existing systems and come up with an all-encompassing solution · Represent QA and contribute to reviews like architecture, design & code reviews · Set up and run code reviews for his / her own and development team’s work · Ensure testability in code and measure code coverage data regularly · Ensure the product quality through continuous testing and refinement of the code base · Help QA team to arrive at correct set of black box test cases for any code change made during testing phase · Design and implementation of automated test framework · Building custom test automation frameworks and automation scripts for BVT · Develop tests for API dependencies · Collaborate with developers to create White box test strategy, test plans Qualifications Required Experience/Skills & Qualifications: · Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer science · 3 to 6 years of experience in developing and testing Standalone Desktop applications · In depth knowledge of Windows OS · Extensive experience with White box and Black Box testing techniques · Experience with designing and building automation frameworks preferably using Python · Expertise in Design/Architecture and Development skills using VSTS 2010 · In-depth working knowledge of debugging in C++ · Experience in object-oriented design and coding practice · Highly proficient in C++,VSTS 2010. · Strong Development background with an emphasis on structural or white box testing · Thorough knowledge in white box test techniques and strong in code coverage concepts & implementation · Excellent problem solving and communication skills · Basic knowledge on Python scripting · Passion for white Box testing Nice to have skills: · Experience in Security Testing / Performance Testing · Experience in Agile teams would be preferred Automation Framework Development McAfee, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), is the world's largest dedicated security technology company.
